Now lets move along to Overclocking to 4.5GHz , I'm using a water cooled set up so all is looking well.
I'm using Corsair CORSAIR DOMINATOR GT 8GB (2x 4GB) ultra-high performance memory module kit , 2000MHz, 9-10-9-27 CMT8GX3M2A2000C9. So your DRAM settings will be different. Just set your module to specs. I have my CAS timings on these modules @ 9-11-10-28 1T. @1.65v @ 2133MHz
Enable all C States..
That is all your major changes for the Overclock , set the rest of your system up to your liking..

ReplyDeleteAny chance you can release a Bios for the ASUS P8P67 Deluxe that includes
BIOS version 2101
with the updated
Intel ME 7.1.20.1119 Firmware
and Intel Raid Option Rom 11.0.0.1124
Basically the same modified bios you have here with all the firmware updates, but using the 2101 bios?
Also, what email address can I use to contact you? I didn't see any links here to send you a message.

ReplyDeletedo i need to update anything in my 2001 bios cus when i install a bios i just flash it then i'm done what more should i do
ReplyDeleteI Use this flash routine to flash my Bios always.
ReplyDelete1. Reset your UEFI to Optimized Defaults, reboot, enter UEFI and then flash to the new UEFI build.
2. After flash and restart, enter Windows/Linux, then exit and shutdown.
3. Remover the power cord from the power supply, wait thirty seconds, press Power On button to clear any remaining
charge, clear CMOS for five seconds, reattach the power cord, power on the system, enter UEFI, set to Optimized Defaults,
save and exit.
4. Enter UEFI, set your system to customized settings based on your system configuration (RAID, OC, etc), save and exit.
Then I look at the page below to keep my drivers up to date along with DriverMax Pro.

will it void my warranty / Yes I do believe it will , but I've been using it without any issues .. As I received it from the VIP ASUS forum from a company that ASUS sent out for testing. I just modded it with some updated Opt Roms and new ME Firmware.

ReplyDeletefalled asleep go on msn w/e
ReplyDeletewill only the bios update with out any changes void my warranty
ReplyDeleteI'm 90% sure that using a non Asus published Bios from there download page will void the warranty on the Board.. Do you use Raid in your machine ? If not and everything is working fine , I would just wait for the Bios to go public.. It will most likely have a different # say 2104 or whatever they choose. eg: The ole saying goes , If It aint broke don't fix it. I was having issues with my SSD Drives in Raid so I fixed my issues as Asus has been dropping the ball here as of late when it comes to fixing issues with this board. The new ME Firmware & 11.0.0.1124 Opt Rom fixed my problems on the 2001 Bios and the Testing I've done on the 2101 has went great. Asus could have took a week and tested these changes & issued a update but for some reason they have not. So I took things into my own hands & fixed them myself.
ReplyDeleteThe new ME Firmware & 11.0.0.1124 Opt Rom
ReplyDeleteWhat exactly does the ME firmware effect, change or improve?
I'm also running SSD's in Raid0
Have a look at the topic below page 7 It should answer your questions Mate. Another member asked the same thing yesterday.

ReplyDeleteHey im back
ReplyDeleteim using your overclock settings that you posted on your blog did you change you settings sense you posted that? also i checked a post that said Not recommended too exceed 1.38v, doing so could kill the CPU, we therefor recommend a range of 1.325-1.350v if overclocking so how come your overclock gives 1.336V? is that not little to high i mean should it not be abit lower? but if you do got new oc settings please post them in your reply
Best Regards
Emil Mathisen.
I've flashed to my modded Bios 2103 with the Intel 11.0.0.1339 Opt Rom..
ReplyDeleteFlashed my ME Firmware to 7.1.30.1142
Flashed my NEC/USB3 Firmware to 3028 , since my 2 chips are rev 3 not rev 4 I cant go to 4.0.1.5.0.2
Updated my drivers from here.
